We advertise our vacancies and receive scores of applications.
When we try contacting the applicants:
- Telephone is not answered
- When we leave a voice message – it is not responded to
- When we sent emails – they are read but not responded t
- When we send text messages – they are not responded to.
The responses we receive, if any, are from candidates who have no skills that are in any way related to the position or do not have the appropriate work-rights to take up the job.
How do we operate in this environment?
Now that the JobKeeper / JobSeeker payments are starting to taper off will this be an incentive to get back to work, or have we as a community become too used to getting hand-outs from the government of the day?
