Our clients take pride in offering high-standard services to their boat owners and are currently seeking a dedicated Marina Yard Hand to join their team.
Position Overview:
As a Marina Yard Hand, you will be a member of the marina's daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will include water blasting and scraping the hull and running gear.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct water blasting and meticulous scraping of hulls and running gear.
- Cleaning of hulls
- Applying antifouling paints
- Buffing, polishing and detailing.
- Working seamlessly with all marina staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere rigorously to safety protocols and Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the work environment, as we keep a high standard for a neat yard.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a marina or boatyard setting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated physical fitness with the ability to handle heavy objects.
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset and dedication to following safety protocols.
- Adaptability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Drivers Licence
