Our client is leading importing/distribution private company, established for more than 80 years,  with their head office located in Hornsby.  Their exclusive range of brands include Scanpan, Maglite, Global, Cuisinart, Victorinox, Avanti and Zippo - to name a few.
 
Their National distribution channels include leading department stores, specialist Homewares, Giftware and Outdoor Stores.

The National Sales Manager reports directly to the Managing Director.
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for all general aspects normally required of a National Sales Manager, along with:
 
Directing and motivating the State Sales Managers and their respective sales teams both in Australia and New Zealand;
Managing and Monitoring the development of all sales activities; and
Co-Ordination of all aspects of our participation in the Gifts and Homewares Fairs held in Sydney and Melbourne each year.

You will require the following attributes:

Outstanding people skills;
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
Minimum 5 years people management experience;
Exceptional ability to cultivate and maintain solid working relationships with key accounts and industry connections - including department store buyers, national buying groups and the owners of major independent retail stores in the Homewares industry;  
a 'hands on' style of management.

Experience in the Homewares industry, with a management role would be highly regarded - but not essential.

The position comes with either a car or a car allowance as well as incentives.
